Color Stories: 2026 CODA Members’ Exhibition

Meet the Artists

A key focus of this event was brief Artist Talks by three exhibiting CODA Members: Bruce Leventhal, Sharon Ferguson, and Shelly Errington.

Bruce Leventhal: The Art of Intention

“When we are inundated with visual inputs, and the capacity to capture moments has become ubiquitous, what is the role of intention? Once a proponent of serendipity, my current work reflects the mental gymnastics I make before I take my cameras into the field.”

Sharon Ferguson: Painting with Light: New Digital Media

“I paint digitally using Procreate on the iPad with layers that sometimes include original traditional media. The combination helps me to communicate a story of intention.”

Shelly Errington: In Praise of Shadows and Reflections

“My nature and architectural photography begins with noticing the tanken-for-granted and the overlooked, often capturing evanescent scenes from unexpected vantage points. Almost abstractions, they invite visual lingering and thoughtful delight.“

This event was also an opportunity for CODA members (exhibiting or not), their families, friends, and other guests to celebrate the exhibition, including with refreshments. We thank Debi Lorenc for her event photography.
